Court Sentenced Malkhaz Gulashvili and His Son to Two-Month Pre-Trial Detention [12/06/2010]

On June 10 Tbilisi City Court sentenced Malkhaz Gulashvili, Director, the Georgian Times media holding and the founder of the People's Orthodox Movemenand and his minor son David Gulashvili to a two-year pre-trial detention, in their absence, for illegally crossing the border. Through the decision the court met the request by chief Prosecutor of Georgia on a prison sentence for Malkhaz and David Gulashvili.

Former Imedi TV Journalists Vs Georgian Authorities [21/04/2010]

On April 15 the complaints against Georgian authorities by former Imedi TV journalists such as Giorgi Akhvlediani, Ana Gochashvili, John Kalandadze, Irakli Moseshvili, Tengiz Mezurnishvili, Giorgi Rukhadze, Thea Sichinava, Nino Sakvarelidze, Diana Trapaidze and Nino Tskhvarashvili (of radio Imedi) were sent to the European Court of Human Rights.

TBC TV Studio Makes Apology for Question to Jiji Rejini [08/03/2010]

TBC TV Studio has made an apology for the question posed to Jiji Rejini in the course of the Imedi TV program Time of Truth. The anchor's question was related to the photographer's ethnic origin: "Have you ever felt ashamed of your Armenian origin?" The question was irritating for the Armenians residing in Georgia. Therefore the authors of the program made an apology on the next day off of the show.
